I was a Sgt and crew chief in Marine Squadron HMM-365 and was aboard the Guam 3 times in 1969 and 1970. She was involved in so many high profile operations. In 1970 alone we went to Peru to help the victims of the worst earthquake to ever hit that hemisphere and later that year we were sent to the Med to take part in the Jordanian Crisis. Even though I was a Marine, the Guam was my ship. Its almost as if they sunk me to. Other Responses to this message
